sweet becky, youve given me chance to use my first grade level Chinese knowledge. Yao can mean many many things, inlcluding: want, must, should, will, waist, intersect, daylight, and fetus. The surname Yao is popular in the middle kingdom. I think it was the name of some legendary king or something. However, to tell you what Yaos here are referencing we would have to see the character they use. Gao, in the first tone, meaning a flat tone with no changes in pitch, means tall.
and the yaos aren't cousins, but they met once in shanghai in 92' and made out.
